BANKSY BACK STORY
Banksy a street artist whose identity remains unknown, is believed to have been born in Bristol, England, around 1974. He rose to prominence for his provocative stencilled pieces in the late 1990s. Banksy's artwork is characterized by striking images, often combined with slogans that have drawn attention for their edgy themes and boldness of execution. His work often engages political themes, satirically critiquing war, capitalism, hypocrisy and greed. Common subjects include rats, apes, policemen, military equipment, members of the royal family, and children. Banksy's worldwide fame has transformed his artwork from acts of vandalism to sought-after high end art pieces.
Before most of the above, when Banksy was just getting started, he was creating artwork on vinyl sleeves.
In the late 90's Banksy shared some free studio space with the indie record label ( Wall Of Sound ) in return for some free artwork for their own label and some sister labels. In addition to We Love You…So Love Us, there was a We Love You...So Love Us Too, and We Love You...So Love Us Three, on Wall Of Sound, he also did the Badmeaningood series (5 sleeves) & the Blaktwang series (7 sleeves) all having rare and unique artwork some of which are not on any prints / walls.
Before this Banksy‘s worked with Hombre Records owned by his friend and former flatmate, Jamie Eastman. Not only did Banksy design the artwork but he is also responsible for the bands name and many track names. EX.. ( ONECUT ) based on his one cut stencil technique & ( ONE CUT - CUT COMMANDER ) said to be Banksy himself. As always the artwork on these sleeves are stunning. The price of these ultra rare records is forever growing as the collectors grow and supplies dwindle.
There are many other Banksy vinyl artwork sleeves so do your research & enjoy investing in your future.

OUR PERSONAL ADVICE
(DON'T GET SCAMMED)
Be very careful online. Always ask to see images and proof those images are taken recently (They have the record in hand) from any potential seller & confirm you are happy before making payment. If it feels to good to be true it probably is. If you contact a seller & receive no reply there is a good chance their listing could be a scam! If you buy on Discogs or any online platform without speaking to the seller and asking for images you may end up being scammed or unhappy with the quality of the record. Over our many years we have made a number of these mistakes so take our word for it and save yourself from unnecessary stress and financial loss.
We have been scammed by a hacked Discogs account, they had perfect 100% feedback, they listed Banksy vinyl at the lowest price but near mint condition. Everything looked perfect, They did not reply to message but FOMO made us send the payments in hope of grabbing some bargains. What spanned out over the coming days/weeks was negative feedback after negative feedback as many people worked out they had been scammed.
We have also been sent a number of records in so-called near mint or mint condition that ended up being creased / ring ware / corner damaged / scratched, the full works. They were VG condition at best. Some people do not follow the Discogs guide lines on ranking vinyl condition.
It is critically important to ask for images and communicate with the seller before sending large sums of money.
Recent event 09th November 2022:
Discogs had a spate of hacked accounts all adding the same list of records. One account would get banned and they moved to another. They listed a lot of very expensive records in mint condition but at the lowest price. Making their listings look very temping.
One example was the Blowpop Banksy record. The seller was asking for £2800 for a near mint copy. The last sale on Discogs was for £4800, the last sale on eBay was £4000 and both of these records were not near mint. I asked the seller for images of the record and they sent me around 8 images. I did a google reverse image search and found the images they had sent me. The image came from a auction site Catawiki and the record sold for over 8000 euros. At this point I knew it was a scammer. So, I asked the seller to provide an "active" image of the sleeve with a piece of paper and today's date in the image. The seller never got back to me. The account was blocked a few days later after a long list of negative feedback rolled in.
DO'S & DON'TS
BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN SPENDING LARGE AMOUNTS.
ASK FOR PROOF OF OWNERSHIP. (TODAY'S DATE IN AN IMAGE).
NEVER SEND MONEY DIRECT TO A PERSON - YOU WILL HAVE NO INSURANCE IF THINGS GO WRONG.
USE DISCOGS / EBAY AND YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT FOR FULL INSURANCE. (Credit cards via PayPal adds another layer of insurance).
CHECK HOW ACTIVE THEIR FEEDBACK IS. If the last sale was many months ago, could be a hacked account.
CHECK THEIR OTHER LISTINGS. Lots of listing with high value in amazing condition but cheap, could be a hacked account.
IF YOU THINK I CANNOT MISS OUT ON THIS BARGAIN. DONT DO IT. THEY PRAY ON THAT. Do the things I am suggesting first.
THE BEST ADVICE IS TO HAVE A CHAT. SPEAK TO THE SELLER. ASK MANY QUESTIONS. YOUR GUT INSTINK IS OFTEN CORRECT.
USEFUL INFO
Many people in the Banksy world are aware of John Brandler (Brandler Galleries)
A Banksy artwork has been removed from the side of a building in Nottingham and sold to the collector.
The mural, which depicts a girl hula-hooping with a bicycle tyre, appeared on a residential street in October.
The "slab of brick" was seen being cut from the wall in Rothesay Avenue from about 05:00 GMT.
Gallery owner John Brandler told the BBC he paid a "six-figure sum" for the piece, and wanted to help preserve it, as well as put it on display. The artwork was then seen being loaded into the back of a van. Mr Brandler said the workers were part of a "specialised company" which had removed Banksy art before. He added he is now sending it to Scotland to be restored.
The collector owns a number of the elusive artist's pieces, including Seasons Greetings, which he bought from a garage in Port Talbot in 2019.
Brandler Galleries put together a price list of Banksy vinyl records for one of their auctions.
We think this list is very useful for Banksy vinyl collectors. New & experienced.
